Our Combustion Team Lights the Way
With the introduction of its “Combustion and Construction” division, ONEX, Inc.has created even more operational capacity and streamlined ability to serve our customers. With this newly dedicated space, we can further serve the growing demand for custom-designed industrial furnaces that meet the exact specifications of our clients.
“[Our combustion team handles]...anything that deals with furnaces, with controls, whether it’s combustion, controls, furnace upgrades, new installs, rebuilds, burners, valves, the metering orifices, the limiting orifices, controller flame safeties, relays, push buttons, starters – everything,” says Jeff Rhoades, Combustion Manager at Onex.
Rhoades expresses that one of the key and unique benefits of the ONEX team is that combustion systems are often outsourced by other outfits but we design and configure them in-house. This allows us to move projects through to completion with fewer delays and sourcing issues that would be out of our control if not for our cradle-to-grave solutions.
An auxiliary benefit of our one-stop-shop operation is that when it comes time to service our clients’ furnaces, our knowledge and insight from the original build simplifies and shortens the tuning and upkeep process.
Don’t Get Burned by “Custom”
While we do offer off-the-shelf options, the majority of ONEX furnaces are custom-made to suit our customers’ specific needs, most frequently related to space.
According to Michael Ducato, Business Development Manager at Onex, “What people think initially when they hear ‘custom’ is that it's going to be expensive, and most furnaces are custom. [At Onex] custom doesn't necessarily mean more money. It just means more thought goes into how we build it and the considerations of the plant…and that can be everything from the control panel to the types of burners.”
ONEX is primed for even more ambitious projects. We can handle larger, more complex custom furnace designs, and our Combustion experts continually stay on the cutting edge of combustion technology and regulations.
“Our approach has always been to work directly with our customers to fully understand their needs,” adds Rhoades. “This [expanded] facility gives us even more flexibility to design and deliver furnace solutions that fit perfectly within our customers’ operations. Whether it's upgrading an existing system or building something entirely new, we’re committed to providing the best possible solution from start to finish.”
With over 40 years of experience in building world-class industrial furnaces from the ground up, ONEX continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible in the industry and is well-equipped to serve the ever-evolving needs of the forging, heat-treating, aluminum, and specialty metal industries.
